About Paul

For more than 30 years, I led sales, marketing, and shopper marketing teams across North America, working with retailers including Walmart, Target, Kroger, Costco, and Publix to grow brands, launch businesses, and build high-performing teams.

I’m proud of that work. But what I valued most was helping people grow.

Over the past eight years, CliftonStrengths became an important part of how I mentored leaders and developed teams. I saw firsthand what happens when people better understand how they’re naturally wired — they communicate differently, make better decisions, and lead with greater confidence.

That experience ultimately led me to Lagniappe Coaching.

Today, I work with people navigating career transitions, leadership growth, and life changes, as well as teams looking to work better together. I bring the perspective of someone who has spent decades actually leading people and businesses — not just studying leadership from the outside.

My style is practical, thoughtful, and conversational. I’m here to ask good questions, offer perspective, and help you see what may be difficult to see on your own.

Why Lagniappe?
Lagniappe is a Louisiana word meaning “a little something extra” — and a nod to my Louisiana roots.

To me, it captures what coaching can offer: a fresh perspective, a thoughtful question, or an insight that helps you see yourself and what’s next more clearly.

My Coahing Philosphy

I believe:

  • You already have more talent than you realize.

  • Most frustration comes from misalignment, not inadequacy.

  • Sustainable success happens when you lead from your natural wiring — not someone else’s blueprint.

Strengths-based coaching isn’t about fixing weaknesses.

It’s about:

  • Increasing awareness

  • Clarifying direction

  • Making better decisions

  • Building confidence rooted in self-understanding

My role is not to tell you what to do.

My role is to help you see clearly — so you can decide confidently.

Coaching with me feels more like a thoughtful conversation than a performance review.
